Day 31.1 Mop Up

Yesterday I posted an incomplete entry. Tired, I hit the wrong print and the internet failed to upload any of the photos and commentary. I’ll finish the story here.

After our marathon hike Carla and I arrived in perhaps my favorite spot on the Camino, the tiny village of O’Cebreiro, the second highest point on the Camino. It is home to an ancient little church (pictured below) founded in 836, pretty darn old. We sat down for drinks with Peregrinos from Washington state and Greenland- a new encounter and much fun. We dined with a couple originally from Malta whom we’ve met many times along the Camino. It was a classic Camino night in a purely Camino village.

We had a big climb out of Villafranca. This is a shot looking back on the town
