Day 37– There’s More

I started the day with an open mind and curious as to what thoughts would come. The day’s trek took me there. Most of the day was on high ground, mountain tops and passages. I was not walking a ridge line, more meandering around mountain sides and walking the tops of different peaks. Hopefully the pictures capture some of the majestic beauty I travelled through. Perhaps God put me on this mountain so I could reflect upon his creation. The persistent feeling I had looking out over this incredible landscape is “there has to be something more out there, something mystical, magical, spiritual that inhabits what’s around us”. For me, the something more is my belief in Jesus Christ. For others perhaps it’s something else. Whether Muslim, Hindu, Jewish or Buddhist or any other religion, they all involve something more. There has to be something more. How was all the beauty and ruggedness I have seen for almost 40 days made? How is it Carla and I were brought together? How was it we brought 3 beautiful children into this world? How do you account for these miracles and all the miracles, big and small, we’ve been blessed with? A life of faith and spirituality, whatever your religion, can bring you peace, strength and so many other wonders. There must be something more. In this journey, I tried to better connect with God- my something more. Below is a glimpse of what he showed me. For sure, those glimpses exist for all of us and are all around us. Having faith in our “something more” can give us strength to deal with whatever life throws our way.
