Day 36- The Caravan Redux

It’s been a long time since I have walked any length of the Camino with another Pilgrim. My Caravan is still full of people, they are just in my head. It’s all of you whether you know it or not. I like walking with you guys and with those who have passed. You comfort me, inspire me and keep me company. Your comments in the blog are Camino energy bars. Over the last 2 days I have reread the comments yet again. Also, some of you have sent emails to me- those count too. Knowing you are taking time out of your busy lives to take a glimpse or follow my journey gives me great comfort. Thinking of those whose journeys have taken them from this world also gives me great solace. I try to honor their spirit by recalling fond memories. Thanks for being with me on “our” Camino.

Leaving Casa Irene. My room was right behind the lamppost.

Passing through another dying village. You mostly see old people. This woman gave me a warm smile and wished me a Buen Camino. I told her she has a great country- in Spanish- and she agreed

My lunch stop. I look for good rocks to sit on

Not to be confused with the N525
