Day 25 Return to the Pilgrim Life

Okay- so it’s back on the Camino. Leon was a much needed respite. This morning the trail greeted us with miles of urban sprawl. In the midst of that we found a beautiful church built in the 60s on top of a church built in the 16th century- pictures below. We found refuge there and left with a renewed spirit. Carla and I find great aid and comfort in walking together through this foreign land. Our talk is rich and the sense of companionship between us is God given of this I am certain.

The walk seemed short today but also included hills, a nice change from the Meseta. Today we started our nonstop journey to our physical destination- Santiago de Campostella.
