Day 5.1

We made it to Estella and better internet so I will finish yesterday’s post here. I named this Day 5.1 because us techies like to use decimal points. Set forth below are some shots of our contrasting cuisines between Pamplona and Puenta La Reina. You will also see an iconic sculpture of pilgrim evolving over the years. Right next to the sculpture is a stone memorial to 92 villagers murdered by Franco’s troops in 1936 and 1937. The contrast of the two was incredibly powerful. Sorry for the duplicate videos below. They are all the same- haven’t figured how to delete.

Just a few dishes we enjoyed at the Michelin starred restaurant . Each dished was paired with local wines.

Note- we even changed clothes for dinner

Contrast Peregrino fare paired with a house red which we let breathe (or rather gasp).

Peregrino Sculpture- pilgrims over the years

Memorial to the fallen 92

Bike art- yeah!
