Day 19 Issues From Home
Today was our shortest, fastest and windiest day on our Camino. We walked an ancient Roman road through farmland. As you can see from the video below not much to it. We carried with us some issues from back home which needed our attention. We did not come on this trip with the hope of escaping our duties and responsibilities. Rather we came hoping our faith would be strengthened so we could better handle all that is before us. As we walked along we talked through them, found clarity and created answers. The journey has helped us to focus on not only what’s important but also on understanding what we have the power to change and to not stress over things beyond our control. These are common simple ideas but the Camino gives us a great perspective to reflect on things we already know. Our duties, responsibilities and burdens followed us here and with God’s grace and guidance we will make the right decisions.
The shots above are of the monastery Carla and I stayed in last night- pretty spectacular
