Day 39 Homeward Bound

“I wish I was…” hey, I am. This will be the final entry. Today, Carla and I luxuriated in our Parador and then lazily strolled through the ancient streets. We were able to explore the Cathedral during off hours, such a beautiful creation. The Cathedral and the finish point for all Camino routes are in the same plaza as our Parador. Carla and I rested in the warm sun watching today’s Camino finishers celebrate like Pilgrims of yesterdays and tomorrows. This extra day is helping us transition from life on the trail to back home. It’s an adjustment for sure. We head out early tomorrow. I am ready and anxious to get home. A few fun facts about our Camino. In 34 days of walking/hiking we covered over 526 miles. We sprinkled in 4 days of rest. As of this afternoon, the blog has been viewed by 906 unique viewers from 11 different countries. The blog has been visited 1,893 times with 6,598 page views. There’s no data on the identities of those viewing only the nation and city of origin. A number of people we met on our way wanted to see the blog. I was happy to share. I can’t tell you how powerful the support from the blog was in helping Carla and me through some real challenging days. We so enjoyed the comments coming in and we read them over and over. I’m going to kind of miss this. Pete singing off
