Day 22- In the Moment

Dominique (sorry for the earlier misspellings) and I had breakfast and left a little on the late side. A moderate task lay ahead which we hoped to finish in around 5 hours. As I commenced my Camino journey for the day (after thanking Johnny V) I began to think about what I should pray about, what spiritual insights I might try to realize and share and how I might work to strengthen my faith until a voice inside me said “just enjoy the day”. I’d like to think that was the Lord talking to me- had to come from somewhere. Just enjoy the day- what a simple thought with tons of meaning. Enjoy the day by appreciating the world around me- live in the moment. I did. It was a light and glorious day.

You’ve seen that before- so have I

One of the nastier water hazards of the day. We jumped the rocks to the right- made it!

A locked church I stopped at to take in its rugged beauty

Early pilgrim. Note the shell and gord on the staff. The gord held water and the pilgrim would drink the water from the shell- early hydration system

Today’s rest stop

Today’s lodging, pairs well with today’s rest stop

Enjoying some food at day’s end. Marta (Colombian), Dominique (Swiss), Dominique (French) and the Gringo
