Still en route to the start. Last night we got stuck on the tarmac at JFK for hours. It caused us to miss our flight out of Paris this morning. On the flight to Paris we were rudely treated by one of the flight attendants who was frankly downright nasty. I felt like addressing her attitude but, as I’m starting my Camino, I thought I should take the positive approach and let it go. When confronted with a choice to be positive or negative each will send you in their own direction. I almost made it but as we deplaned I thanked her for all her kind help. She didn’t get it but Carla did. Bagged. Well it just goes to show I have a ways to go on this journey and I’m not talking about miles.

These are shots of our hotel and room in Biarritz- not in the same league as the hostels along the Camino. Let’s just say Carla and I are easing into it.
